Monster Striped Bass

Went on another away trip with the crew of the "Knot Debaitable" yesterday. The boys wanted to catch some Montauk striped bass. We had a beautiful ride over, after the previous nights storms. The fishing was slow, a steady gradual pick. Greg was the first to hook up, and it was a monster 41" fish that took his live eel. John hooked up next, and it was a big fish - but we had a heart breaker with the hook snapping in two and losing the fish. John eventually hooked up again, but the fish gods weren't' with us, and the leader was parted. We fish until the tide slowed, also putting a nice sea bass in the box working a jig. Great day on the water.
