September Mixed Bag

Yesterday I took out Ed Deitch from NBC News for some September fishing. We went in search of Black Sea Bass & Porgies. While working some spots around Plum Island, we saw birds working and fish busting. Thinking they were false albacore we started throwing poppers to them, and it turned out to be hungry bluefish. We played catch & release with these tough fighters for about 2 hours. We finally moved on to more bottom fishing before giving up when the tide slacked. Great day on the water.
